At Mighty Oaks, we believe every child deserves a nurturing start, no matter their financial background.

Through our partnership with the House of Blessings Foundation, we offer two full scholarships every year to children whose families may not otherwise be able to afford a high-quality early childhood education.

About the Scholarship

In line with our vision to better the community, the Mighty Oaks x HBF Scholarship supports access to our playgroup, nursery, and kindergarten programmes for children in need — regardless of where they live or their guardians' ability to pay.

This initiative offers:

A full scholarship for up to two children each school year
An academically rigorous, play-based curriculum in a trilingual setting
Empowerment for families through parenting workshops and guidance
Equal opportunity based on need — not on academic performance, background, or race

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following:

Hong Kong resident
Age-appropriate at time of enrolment:
- Playgroup: 6–36 months
- Pre-Nursery: 2–3 years old
  Kindergarten: 2 years 8 months or older
Not receiving any other scholarship (prizes or awards excepted)
Attending only Mighty Oaks — not enrolled in any other kindergarten programme
Household monthly income at or below the Work Family Allowance Scheme income limit
Guardian's values align with the mission and vision of Mighty Oaks
Guardian demonstrates commitment to the child's future and a healthy home environment

Who is the scholarship for?

The scholarship is for children from families with demonstrated financial need who share Mighty Oaks' values and vision for character-led education. It is not granted based on academic performance or race.

How many scholarships are available?

Two full scholarships are granted per grade level per academic year.

What programmes does the scholarship cover?

It covers playgroup (at both Kennedy Town and Wong Chuk Hang campuses), Pre-Nursery, Kindergarten, and select classes at Acorn Playhouse.

What happens if our financial situation changes?

Scholarship recipients must continue to meet eligibility criteria for annual renewal. If your circumstances change, please speak with HBF directly.

Do I need to repay the scholarship?

No. This is a full grant, not a loan.

What if my child needs to leave the programme?

The scholarship continues until the end of the academic year unless terminated in accordance with the scholarship terms and conditions.
